NVIDIA® Quadro® by PNY products are used by media, engineering, and IT professionals worldwide for their superior graphics performance with a wide variety of applications ranging from visualization and medical imaging, to CAD/CAM engineering and architecture, to HD-SDI capture / output in production and post-production broadcast industries.
Cubix Corporation has partnered with PNY and NVIDIA to provide these markets with unique, multi-GPU configured solutions which enhance productivity and increase performance for CUDA™-based parallel processing applications such as Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve color correction for Mac OS-X and Linux-based computers, NVIDIA's Quadro Digitial Video Pipeline, Autodesk 3ds Max 2012 and Maya 2012, Adobe Creative Suite 5, and Microsoft's RemoteFX. Cubix's GPU-Xpander supports these applications with its unique, high-performance PCIe slot expansion solutions for both desktop users and IT data centers.

Blackmagic Design® DaVinci Resolve 8 for Mac and Linux
DaVinci color correctors are the standard in post production since 1984. There are thousands of colorists worldwide who understand the performance, quality and workflow of DaVinci and love it as their trusted partner in creativity. Blackmagic Design has certified multiple GPU-Xpander models and configurations for use with both the Mac Pro OS-X and Linux versions of DaVinci Resolve 8. GPU-Xpander Desktop 2 and Desktop 4 add the PCIe x16 slots needed in Mac Pro systems for Resolve colorists to take advantage of Resolve's multi GPU-accelerated features such as Noise Reduction, realtime r3d decoding, plus grading and monitoring of stereoscopic 2K material via 1 or more NVIDIA Quadro 4000 / FX 4800 for Mac graphics cards hosted in the GPU-Xpander system.
GPU-Xpander Desktop 4 and Rackmount 8 products are certified by Blackmagic Design for use with DaVinci Resolve 8 for Linux, and provide customers with all of the benefits of the OS-X version, plus maximum GPU scalability for monitoring and grading in realtime of uncompressed 4K material, stereoscopic monitoring, and the maximum imaging performance possible using multiple NVIDIA state of the art GPUs and RED® Rocket cards.

Cubix Corporation has partnered with NVIDIA Quadro DVP Partners such as Perceptive Pixel®, Brainstorm®, and others to provide digital broadcast markets worldwide with high-performance PCIe expansion systems for applications such as virtual studios, multi-touch visualization displays, stereoscopic 3D production workflows, and video walls.

Using GPU-Xpander as the host PCIe expansion platform, Quadro DVP Partners are able to maximize the number of simultaneously supported HD-SDI channels (currently twelve) per DVP workstation. GPU-Xpander also provides DVP Partners with an open architecture and deployment flexibility which is unmatched.

The NVIDIA® OptiX™ Ray Tracing Engine is a programmable ray tracing framework for software developers to rapidly build ray tracing applications that yield extremely fast results across NVIDIA GPUs with conventional C programming. NVIDIA OptiX-based ray tracers can provide finished results up to 50X or more faster than serial code-based, CPU-bound alternatives.
Cubix's GPU-Xpander enables ray tracing applications such as Mental Images® iray™, Bunkspeed® SHOT Pro and MOVE, Random Control's Arion, and Chaos Group's Vray RT to maximize their multi-GPU performance potential by turning one 8-channel or 16-channel slot into 2 or more slots. This means professionals in architectural or engineering firms, artists, and product designers can generate high resolution beauty shots with one host PC and several NVIDIA CUDA-compatible graphics or GPU cards that have the potential to replace dozens of 8-12 core CPU-based nodes.
GPU-Xpander products support and greatly compliment NVIDIA's recently announced Project Maximus, which allows for greater integration of both NVIDIA Quadro and Tesla Series technologies.
Cubix GPU-Xpander can also be used for cloud-based application deployment initiatives such as NVIDIA's upcoming Project Monterey and its Multi-OS Technology, when combined with Citrix System's XenServer , for enabling high-performance Quadro graphics in a virtual machine. Using NVIDIA Quadro, Microsoft RemoteFX, and Cubix GPU-Xpander as a hardware platform, companies deploying VDI across the enterprise can boost productivity and savings, while enabling IT administrators to easily centralize and manage these applications remotely.

Cubix GPU-Xpander Rackmount is an ideal hardware expansion platform for this market sector, since its flexibility and open-architecture allow for use of any NVIDIA Quadro by PNY graphics card configuration certified by Microsoft or Citrix Systems for use with their products.
